At J. & M. Brown, providing safe and healthy working conditions is a primary concern, and the Company strives to achieve a zero accident safety and health goal by adhering to sound safety practices on each job site. JMB's solid, longstanding safety record can be attributed to an effective accident prevention and control program.

The JMB Safety and Health Program is headed by David W. Noon, President and Officer in Charge, and Paul Arthur, the Company Safety and Health Officer. Each employee is a member of the JMB safety and health team, and the Company has an ongoing commitment to safety and health in its labor and management attitude.

The J & M. Brown Safety Program

The goals of the JMB safety program are:
1. To eliminate accidents by having a maximum awareness of safety at all times.
2. To maintain a safe and healthful place to work.
3. To promote maximum efficiency.
4. To prevent damage to the work.
5. To maintain a modified duty program.

J. & M. Brown Company, Inc. promotes a strict enforcement of the following safe construction practices:
1. A safe work area.
2. Safe equipment and tools.
3. Safety guidelines and procedures.
4. Personal protective equipment as required by each project.

To implement the safety plan, J. & M. Brown Company requires:
1. Planning of all projects to include appropriate safety considerations.
2. Employees, at all levels to receive ongoing education in safe working methods and procedures.
3. Regular inspection of work areas, methods, and equipment to ensure that planning and education are producing the desired results. Management, supervisors, and individuals will identify deficiencies for correction, and seek input and study to improve the program.
4. Tool Box Talks "` weekly safety meetings on each job site.

The Company is proactive in ensuring that all employees adhere to these procedures and requires participation in a "Team" approach to achieve the goal of providing a safe work environment for all. Each individual is continually encouraged to work in a safe and productive manner. The Company has also developed a Safety and Health Manual for easy reference and to provide a formal, coordinated, consistent approach to our safety efforts. A copy of our Safety and Health Manual is available on all project locations.
